Divide is a device management solution for iOS and Android that can ensure the security of corporate data on employees' smartphones and tablets, even if those devices are not company-owned.
The client application, freely available to download from iTunes and Google Play, creates a segregated, encrypted memory area on devices, and loads a number of applications into that secure area including an email client and contact, calendar and task applications. A phone dialler and SMS application is also included not to mention integration with popular enterprise cloud application providers such as Box.
To access the "workspace", a PIN or unlock pattern must be entered, distinct from the device's own unlock security settings.

All data created by these applications is also stored in the secure, encrypted memory area. Should the device be lost or stolen, or the employee leave the company, the contents of the Divide "workspace" can be remotely erased via Exchange ActiveSync, removing all data and applications, without touching any of the personal data stored on the device. This functionality is similar to RIM's BlackBerry Balance feature.

On Android, work and personal "workspaces" can be switched between by accessing the notification menu:

The email, contacts, calendar and task applications are all fully-featured, with push-based synchronisation support, out of office support and can access email accounts stored on Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes or Google Apps.
Once synchronised with Exchange, the application is listed as an Enterproid device:

Selecting the option to wipe the device within the Outlook Web App will cause the Divide application to erase all data and restore itself to an unconfigured state:

But no personal data or other configuration settings of any kind are altered when this happens.

The Divide solution can be used together with a cloud-hosted, web-based device management solution (paid for on a per-user basis), which enables administrators to enforce a number of device usage policies, including use of an unlock password, restrict the use of copy and paste within applications, detect jailbreaking or rooting on devices, remotely wipe devices, locate devices via GPS and display on a map, view and manage installed applications, push corporate branding and more.
