Using a ZTE Android handset as a USB modem on Windows

In order to use your ZTE Android Smartphone as a modem on a Windows PC (to "tether" it), you must first download and install the ZTE USB Driver, available HERE

Download the file to your Windows PC and run it, the following window will be displayed:

Click OK to begin the installation, the following window will be displayed:

Click Next:

Specify where you want the required files installed to and click Next:

Click Install. The required installation files and drivers will now be copied to your PC. When complete, click Finish:

Now connect your ZTE Android device to your Windows PC via USB. Windows will detect the new hardware automatically. On the Android device, browse to Settings --> Wireless & Networks --> Tethering & Portable Hotspot:

Ensure that the option for USB Tethering is enabled. Windows will detect additional new hardware automatically. After a few moments, your Windows PC will now possess an additional Network Connection:

And you will be connected to the Internet automatically via your Android device's cellular connection to your mobile operator's data service.

For reference, within Device Manager the specific network adapter is listed as the "Remote NIS based Internet sharing device":
